Why will Suncorp Bank no longer issue new eftpos Cards?
From 10th December 2024, Suncorp Bank will no longer issue new eftpos Cards to comply with expectations from the Reserve Bank of Australia to exclusively issue Dual Network Debit Cards, such as Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Cards.
Suncorp Bank Visa Debit Cards offer a quick and convenient way to pay with your own money and allow you to select your preferred payment network when you complete purchases by inserting your card chip in a payments terminal:
- To process purchases via the Visa network: Select “credit”.
- To process purchases via the eftpos network: Select “savings” or “cheque”.
