Carbon Neutral Certification

In Australia, carbon neutral certification is governed by Climate Active. For an entity to be certified as carbon neutral, it must meet the requirements of the Climate Active Carbon Neutral Standard. This means that to achieve certification an entity must measure emissions, reduce these where possible, offset remaining emissions and then publicly report on its achievements. 

Carbon neutral claims must be independently validated by an independent third party.
